Global information services company, Experian, has appointed Simon Russell as Market President for South Africa.

Having successfully led a number of significant transformation programmes across industries, Simon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Experian as it continues to provide data, analytical tools and automate decision making for its clients.

“Businesses are having to rapidly adapt their models in line with the demands of the changing environment where digital, technology and data take precedence,” says Simon.

He adds: “I am excited to join Experian and to contribute to taking business to the next level by helping customers in their journey of navigating the digital revolution.”

Simon’s vision for Experian South Africa complements the company’s brand positioning to power opportunities for clients by unlocking the power of data.

“The power of digital on business success is immense – and, with this being a personal passion, I am pleased to play a part in the transformation of traditional models. This is a need that is increasingly becoming recognised as important for South African and global businesses in the next five years.”

Simon’s career in the industry began at Accenture. Over a period of 27 years, Simon has led a number of significant transformation programmes for clients across the Retail, Resources and Financial Services sectors.

During the past eight years, as the Managing Executive of Accenture’s Financial Services Practice in South Africa and Nigeria, Simon has been at the helm of driving the business and developing its talented teams. He has also served as Director on both the Accenture SA Board and Management Executive Committee during his tenure.
